Here are our most popular questions about children's blinds. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, see all of our FAQs here.
Yes, our Vertical blinds can be wand-operated, so there’s no need for cords or chains.
This is very much a matter of personal taste and style. Things to consider include your choice of fabric, whether you need a blackout or thermal finish to help your child to be more comfortable, and of course, child safety. You can either choose a cord-free blind, or your local advisor will install an appropriate child safety device at the time of installation.
All our products conform to safety legislation. If you buy a Roller, Venetian, Wooden, Roman or Pleated blind with cords, your advisor will install a discreet cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose strings. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the ground.
We also offer Perfect Fit blinds, which click into place between the beading and glass of uPVC windows and have no operating cords. You could also choose a Tab Pleated, Day & Night, Transition™ or Trilite™ blind, which are operated by a thumb tab.
Blackout blinds help you reduce the light coming into your child's room, hopefully increasing the chances of a better night’s sleep. They can also help reduce the light in the daytime too, if your child needs a daytime snooze.
Blackout blinds reduce the sunlight coming into your room in the early hours of summer mornings, hopefully meaning that your child will stay asleep for longer. Some light may still seep around the edges of the blind, but your local advisor will advise you on getting the ideal fit or the best combination of products to avoid this seepage.
