House Beautiful Bamboo Collection
Natural Bamboo Seashell
Wooden Blinds
Seashell is a pale wood-look blind that has a light and airy feel to it, plus a hidden secret – it’s not wood, but actually bamboo. A UK first, our Bamboo range has been created in collaboration with House Beautiful, a long-standing partnership that’s brought enormous style and innovative looks into your homes. Seashell’s pale cream-brown base benefits from bamboo’s natural graining which shows through the stain, for a soft look that’s right in the middle of the heat and colour spectrum making it a versatile choice.

- Cleaning Tips
-
Close your Wooden blinds and tilt the slats downwards until flat. Wipe over with a dry, clean cloth to remove dust and debris, before tilting the slats upwards and repeating. Any stubborn marks should be lightly buffed with a damp cloth – bear in mind any excess moisture or excessive rubbing may damage the wood.
- Child Safety
-
All Hillarys products conform to European safety legislation. When you buy a Wooden blind, your Hillarys fitter will also install a discreet little cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose cords. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the floor. Having a safety device is a legal requirement even in homes without children.

Which windows suit Wooden blinds?
Wooden blinds are a practical and stylish solution for any space. They can be made to fit narrow and wider windows, with a choice of slat widths designed to match the scale of your window. As the slats are horizontal and straight, they can’t be made to fit around sloping or shaped windows – Vertical blinds would be better here.
Can I have them in my bathroom or kitchen?
Like most wood products, humidity and moisture can cause Wooden blinds to warp or fade in colour. Instead, we offer a range of Faux Wood blinds, which look like real wood but are designed to withstand steamy or damp environments such as kitchens and bathrooms.
What colour options are available?
Our Wooden blinds are available in a range of painted pastel shades and natural wood stains. You can also choose a matching valance in the same shade to conceal the headrail, plus add coloured tapes and other accessories to complete your look.
Are Wooden blinds blackout?
Wooden blinds will dramatically reduce the amount of light coming into your room. However even when the slats are tilted until flat, there may still be small gaps between them or around the edges where light may leak in.
