Hillarys Interior Squad member, Soozi shares with us how her new awning has transformed her garden. "I can't believe how much our new awning has transformed how to we use this previously unloved & unused space next to the house. It's given us a wonderfully cosy spot to sit (even on cloudy days), an extension to our living space that protects us from the sun whilst also giving us privacy from upstairs windows. It's mine and my husbands favourite place to spend time together.

This outdoor room is our office during the week days, and our party zone at the weekends. We’ve hosted lunches and dinner parties, we use it for yoga and coffee. It’s an extension to our house which I can operate at the touch of a button to appear when needed.

Our awnings are motorised as standard making them super easy to operate with a handy remote control. Add a Somfy hub for smart operation, and you'll be able to ooen and close your awning via an app on your phone or even voice command through an Amazon Alexa or Google Home device.

Enjoy the outdoors

"This awning is going to be the making of our summer! I love entertaining outside and now we have the perfect set up. This side of the house is my favourite spot - when the weather is good, it’s a perfect little secluded sun trap but it needed something special to turn it from “sometimes used” to “always used”, and the awning is the perfect solution! It’s automated so just a touch of a button and we are either protected from harsh sun (or bright light on my computer screen - I do intend to move my desk out here. Not kidding!) or we have a new cosy, warm spot to socialise and just enjoy being outside. There’s a heater, there’s a light, it’s beautiful and it makes me feel like I am now living in the south of France."
